The photographs for this project employ close proximity and precise camera angles to accentuate the storytelling aspect and convey key messages encapsulated within the composition. By capturing multiple images of nearly identical objects situated in disparate environments, characterized by starkly contrasting states of repair, the project aims to reflect the consumerist ethos prevalent in contemporary society. It invites viewers to contemplate the temporal trajectory of commonplace items. The narrative focus on automobiles, aligned with my personal interests, serves as a prominent motif to underscore the ease with which we discard objects once their utility diminishes, whether due to damage, obsolescence, or mere ennui. Ensuring meticulous alignment of the subject matter facilitates a seamless, almost surreal visual experience that challenges initial perceptions, fostering the impression of continuity across frames. This juxtaposition of present and future aims to spark dialogue regarding the prevailing consumerist ethos and its implications for our perceptions of value and durability.
